NOLA Street Tiles

Sociological Images is a website I’ve been reading for a while now and has turned into one of my favorites. Today they have a little article with photos about our blue and white street tiles. Another reason we love New Orleans and a good reason to check out Sociological Images.

  1. you can also find the blue street tiles on some graves and tombs in Mt. Olivet Cemetery on Gentilly Blvd. Kinda weird at first, though, since it’s a cemetery, but they look neat.

  2. Check out the Subdudes fantastic album from the 1990s, Annunciation, tiles on the street near my old high school, De La Salle, and not far from Domilese’s.
